Welcome to Ontario! Let me extend a warm welcome across the internet, and give a brief introduction on how to use this website. Here is an explanation of the what the functions on this website will do to help you plan your vacation in Ontario.

Ask The Concierge
Like any great tourism operator or host, the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation welcomes your questions about things to see and do, and places to stay, in Ontario. We'll provide you with a response within 4 hours, during normal business hours: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and holidays. All hours are Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Events Calendar
To view events by date in a calendar format, select Events Calendar from the left-hand sidebar, and from the menus on the Event Calendar page, enter an Event Location and/or select an Event Type, click Update View. To view upcoming events, choose a different month or year from the drop down menus below and click Go!. You can also change months by using the Next and Previous links on the calendar.

Travel Tips
Travel Tips provide a few helpful tips, facts and resources to help you get the most out of your Ontario travel experience, no matter where you are visiting from.

Weather
Due to the size of Ontario, temperatures may vary tremendously from region to region and even within the regions themselves. Generally, the weather is considered continental, with January being the coldest month of the year and July being the warmest. Temperatures are given officially in degrees Celsius (C) with the Fahrenheit equivalent (F) often added. For an exact conversion of C to F, multiply the C by 9/5 and add 32. Transportation
Ontario boasts a number of extensive and efficient transportation systems offering the traveler an array of ways to get around the province, from air to land to water. Airports and airlines provide speedy travel within Ontario, to other parts of Canada, and overseas. Car rental companies or airport taxi and shuttle services are often situated right on airport premises. Bus lines and rail lines span the province and offer services that can be tailored to suit any budget, while ferry services provide dependable transportation on the water. Select our Transportation from the left-hand sidebar to visit our transportation page.

To obtain an estimate of the latest exchange rates for a wide variety of currencies, select Currency Converter from the left-hand sidebar menu.

Travel Guides
The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation publishes a number of helpful and informative free travel guides that showcase Ontario's unique and diverse range of travel experiences. Experience Ontario guides offer a seasonal sampling of Ontario's diverse travel products and experiences, while Festivals & Events Ontario guides provide seasonal events throughout the province, with dates, locations and contact information. Adventure / Activity guides offer adventure and outdoors enthusiasts with a diverse array of exciting experiences, year-round in Ontario. Finally, the Official Road Map of Ontario will help you navigate safely and efficiently throughout our beautiful province.
