Ontario Border Improvements

Photo of Ambassador Bridge Every day, $900 million in goods crosses the Ontario-U.S. border. It is estimated border delays cost both countries more than $13 billion a year. That's why we're working with all levels of governments, on both sides of the border, to improve the efficiency of our border crossings. Five of the top seven border crossings between Canada and the U.S. are in Ontario - Windsor-Detroit, Sarnia-Point Edward, Fort Erie, Queenston-Lewiston, and Thousand Islands. Keeping our border crossings moving is essential to the economies of both countries. Improvements are planned or underway at all of these crossings.
