Accountant of the Superior Court of Justice

This office is the depository for all money, mortgages and securities paid into, or lodged with, the Superior Court of Justice. These monies, mortgages and securities are received and disbursed or released pursuant to judgements and orders of the Superior Court of Justice, and in accordance with the Courts of Justice Act and other relevant statues.

Children

The Accountant holds trust funds for children under the age of majority until they reach age 18 or some other requirement is satisfied. By court order, the Accountant may make payments to children before age 18.

Litigants

The Accountant also holds funds for parties to litigation that may be paid out pursuant to court orders, statutes or the Rules of Civil Procedure.
