The Ontario Victim Services Secretariat (OVSS) is inviting applications from community agencies for the 2007/08 Community Grants Program. The program's priorities this year will continue to focus on victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, child victims of sexual abuse and exploitation, hate crimes and otherwise under-served or unserved victims. Funding will also be made available for community projects that are innovative and address service gaps.

The program is designed to support time-limited projects that include:

  • Initiatives that support community development.
  • Service improvement initiatives that address gaps in existing services to victims and enhance accessibility and service quality.
  • Projects that enhance an organization's capacity to manage, plan or provide services.
  • Community education initiatives that increase awareness of victimization and victims' issues.
