Wait Times in Ontario
Why are there wait times in Ontario?
A wait list allows doctors to prioritize their patients by the urgency of the treatment they need. If you need key surgeries or procedures, you may be placed on a wait list. Patients requiring emergency surgery or procedures are NOT placed on wait lists - they receive treatment immediately.
