How to Customize Your Page

My Page is your customizable, single point of access to a wealth of services, news and information about the Province of Ontario. With My Page, you can choose the content that matters to you the most and access it whenever you want, all through one convenient, easy-to-use page.

To customize your page, switch to "Customize Mode" by clicking on the "Edit My Page" button (it's the pencil icon located beside the My Page link in the top right corner of page):

Adding Content Portlets to My Page

My Page content portlets are containers for information, such as news and weather. You can add or remove content portlets in the middle column of your page and arrange them any way you like.

Use the following steps as a guide for customizing the page content.

  1. To start customizing your page, switch to "Customize Mode" by clicking the "Edit My Page" button.
  2. Click the "Add portlets" Add Content Portlets button at the bottom of the middle column.
  3. Place a check next to the portlets you want on your page.
  4. When you're finished, click "OK" to add these portlets to the page, or "Cancel" to return to the previous page.
  5. Click "Done" to be returned to your customized page, where you can view your new content portlets.
Organizing Content Portlets

Content portlets can be rearranged in the middle column of your page. In “Customize Mode”, use the appropriate buttons below to move your portlets where you want them to be located, or delete them entirely:

Add Content Portlets Retrieves a list of available content portlets that can be placed on your page.
Move Up Moves the content portlet up one spot from its current location.
Move Down Moves the content portlet down one spot from its current location.
Delete Portlet Deletes a portlet. You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the portlet.

When you are finished editing the page, click "Done" to be returned to your customized page.

Editing Your Content Portlet Preferences

Some content portlets, such as the Ontario Government News portlet, allow you to customize your experience further by customizing the portlet itself. Customizable portlets can be identified by the Edit Portlet "Edit Portlet" button.

To customize a content portlet, click on the Edit Portlet "Edit Portlet" button, and follow the instructions.
