No. Biometric information is not being considered at this time. (Biometric information includes personal identity data such as fingerprints or iris scans). ![]() When are the new cards available?
Ontarians will start to receive the new cards early in 2005. ![]() Do people need to get this new Health Card now?
No. You will get the new Health Card when your current card expires or when a replacement card is needed. ![]() Is there a cost for the new Health Card?
No. There continues to be no cost for a Health Card. ![]() Many Ontarians still have a red and white Health Card. Is the Ministry planning to replace them with the new photo Health Cards?
If you have a red and white Health Card you can re-register for a new photo Health Card. You need to register for the new photo Health Card if your red and white Health Card is lost, stolen or damaged. |
