How Wait Time Information Can Help You

Wait time information identifies which hospitals in your area have the shortest waits for specific surgeries and procedures and allows you to take an active role in your health and treatment.

You can use it to discuss treatment options with your doctor. Depending on your health condition, your doctor may be able to refer you to a different specialist or a hospital with a shorter wait time so you can receive your treatment sooner. Together, you can make informed decisions about your health care options. Wait times are just one factor your doctor will consider in deciding on your treatment.
