The Public Health Laboratories provide laboratory testing and expertise for the prevention of disease and the protection and promotion of the public's health in Ontario. In addition, to the Central Laboratory in Toronto, there are a total of 11 Regional Public Health Laboratories throughout Ontario (see listing). Public Health laboratories carry out testing in support of public health activities and programs relating to reportable, emerging and other public health relevant diseases.
