Alberta Residents Surveys - 2005
Alberta Leisure Travel Intentions Study - Top-Line Report, Spring 2005 - May 2005 [12 pages]
The purpose of the study is to obtain information on Alberta residents’ leisure travel intentions between May 1, 2005 and October 31, 2005. Travel activity in each of Alberta’s six Tourism Destination Regions is highlighted. Results are also given by customer market segment. Just over 1,400 Albertans responded to the eight minute telephone survey conducted between March 11 to 27, 2005. The full report is expected by May 30, 2005.

The purpose of the study was to obtain information on Alberta residents’ leisure travel intentions between November 1, 2004 and April 30, 2005. Travel activity in each of Alberta’s six Tourism Destination Regions is highlighted. Results are also given by customer market segment. Just under 1,400 Albertans responded to the eight minute telephone survey conducted between September 23 to 29, 2004.

The purpose of the study was to obtain information on Alberta residents’ leisure travel intentions between May and October 2004 and focused on intended travel within Alberta. The results profile travel activity in each of Alberta’s six Tourism Destination Regions and comparisons are made to the 2003 Summer Intentions survey. Just over 1,400 Albertans responded to the seven minute telephone survey conducted between April 7 and 15, 2004.

Alberta Residents Travel Intentions Report, Winter 2003 - February 2004 [131 pages]
The study involved a second round of interviews conducted in November 2003 with residents of Alberta and featured information about travel intentions for the period November 2003 through April 2004. The first round was conducted in April 2003 to look at the May 2003 to October 2003 travel season. This report details the findings obtained from a phone survey with 1424 respondents. The survey results provide key insights for developing marketing initiatives that will promote travel within Alberta amongst residents. This report will also serve as the benchmark for all future waves of data collection during the fall/winter months.

Interviews were conducted with 1,404 Alberta households in April 2003. The purpose of the study is to gather information regarding leisure travel intentions of Alberta residents between May and October 2003, with a primary focus on travel within Alberta. The results of the study will serve as the benchmark for future surveys that will collect this information. The results clearly identify and describe intentions for travel to each of Alberta's six Tourism Destination Regions.

British Columbia/Saskatchewan Resident Survey of Travel Intentions Report, Summer 2003 - August 2003 [42 pages]
Interviews were conducted with 801 residents of B.C. and 600 residents of Saskatchewan in April 2003. The purpose of the study is to gather information regarding leisure travel intentions of BC/Saskatchewan residents between May and October 2003, with a primary focus on travel to Alberta. The results clearly identify and describe intentions to travel to each of Alberta's six Tourism Destination Regions.
