![]() West Nile Virus
To help reduce the risk of West Nile virus infection, healthcare providers must be kept up-to-date on the latest information so they can in turn educate their patients. The government of Ontario is working to combat WNV by providing you with the appropriate information. On our website, you will find communications materials that will be helpful in explaining to your patients how they can protect themselves and their families from WNV. These materials may be printed, or you may place an order for multiple copies. Surveillance statistics for 2000 through 2006 for human, bird, mosquito and horse cases of West Nile virus are available in the surveillance archive. Additional fact sheets on topics ranging from the use of DEET on children to reducing mosquito breeding grounds around the home are available in our Public Information section. |
