Consumer Protection Legislation

Our goal at the Ministry of Government Services is to promote a fair, safe and informed marketplace – one in which your rights as a consumer are fully protected. Legislation protects these rights by setting out ground rules covering most consumer transactions.

This site is designed to provide you with the information you need to protect your rights, and to inform you of your responsibilities — and how to take action in the event of a dispute with a business.
