Where do I go if I think I’ve been sold a “lemon”?

The Ontario Motor Vehicle Dealers Act is administered on behalf of the Ministry of Government Services by the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC), a self-managed, not-for-profit organization.

If you believe a motor vehicle dealer has treated you unfairly, contact the OMVIC. If your complaint pertains to a recently purchased new car with a major mechanical problem, you may be referred to a special arbitration program called the The Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan.
