Saskatchewan is vast - 651,900 km2 (251,718 mi2) and has almost half of Canada's total cultivated farmland. Quality Saskatchewan crops are used to create leading-edge health products that are exported globally. Total value of Saskatchewan crops exported in 2003, was 2,783 M.

The province also offers a unique combination of low-cost production, low-cost feed and hay crops, plenty of water and expanding global market opportunities. In 2003, total value of Saskatchewan livestock exports was $110 M.
