Saskatchewan has realized a substantial increase in chicken production. Saskatchewan's chicken production has increased by almost 110% since 1998. The province has a processing facility for fresh meats and an egg grader, which sorts and grades eggs.

In 2005, 23.4 million birds weighing 45.9 Mkgs were produced by Saskatchewan farmers.
