Online Tax Payment and Filing Services

Services Available

Your financial institution's Internet site may offer electronic/online payment and filing tax services:

To make payments for:

  • Retail Sales Tax
  • Corporations Tax
  • Employer Health Tax (installments only)

To file tax returns for:

  • Retail Sales Tax

You can also use this service to file nil returns (e.g. when there is no RST payable). If you have a nil return, you must send or deliver it directly to the Ministry of Finance, or file it electronically using an online government tax payment and filing service.

Payment/Filing Processing Time

When using your financial institution's electronic/online tax payment and filing services, please be aware that they have cut-off times for effecting immediate and future dated payments.  This is to ensure your tax return and/or payment is received by the Ministry of Finance on time.

Most financial institutions require payment instructions to be made the day before the payment is due.  Similarly, post-dated payments must be dated at least one day prior to the payment due date.  To avoid late costs, please ensure you process your return and payment within your financial institution's time lines.

If the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, the payment is due on the following banking day.
