Occupational titles

Occupational titles may differ from one country to the next. To make effective use of Québec’s job information and integration services, it is important to be informed of the different titles corresponding to the profession or trade you plan to practise.

To find these titles, consult Emploi-Québec’s site LMI Online and click on Trades and occupations. Enter the title of your occupation or trade and you will receive a complete list of titles corresponding to your occupation or trade in Québec. The number indicated in parentheses is the code issued by the National Occupational Classification (NOC). This code makes it possible to provide a specific description of a profession or trade. Note the number for each title that corresponds to your profession or trade. The NOC provides the titles of the most common jobs in Canada.
