Bringing your spouse or children to Québec

Refugees are usually accompanied by their family members upon their arrival in Québec. In certain cases, however, family members may be unable to travel together.

The One-Year Window of Opportunity Provisions enable family members to be reunited provided an application for permanent residence, under the same category as yours, is filed within one year of your date of arrival in Canada.

Family members include:

These family members must have been previously identified on your application for permanent residence as well as on your Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec Selection Certificate) application.
