Financial and administrative terms
Financial terms
- Funds allocated to the organization shall be used exclusively in discharging
its obligations related to implementing the project as defined in the memorandum
of understanding.
- The MICC’s financial contribution shall not exceed 75% of the total
costs of a project developed outside of a specific regional agreement. A
minimum 25% contribution is required of the organization and its partners.
- For projects developed within the framework of regionalization agreements,
the MICC’s financial participation is contingent on an equivalent or
greater financial contribution by the organization or other partners.
- The financial participation of the organization and partners can be
in the form of a loan of services or allocation of human and material resources
for the purposes of the project, on condition that these resources are not
already allocated to projects funded by the MICC.
- The organization must provide proof of its contribution upon request.
- The MICC can, at any time, terminate an agreement if the organization
ceases to conform to the program’s norms and criteria, or if the results
of its intervention are deemed clearly insufficient. The organization will
be given a 30-day notice, if applicable.
Administrative terms
Applications for financial assistance for projects can be submitted at any
time during the fiscal year.
Application evaluation criteria
Applications shall be evaluated on the basis of the organization’s ability
to respect all of the conditions enumerated above. They will also be evaluated
on the basis of:
- the program’s objectives, priorities and the expected number of
immigrants in the community
- the organization’s capacity to efficiently provide services and
the accessibility of these services to eligible persons.
Duration of agreements
Funds are granted for a maximum duration of three years renewable. For each
project, the organization must submit an implementation schedule. For projects
of over one year, the organization must submit an annual implementation calendar
to the MICC, demonstrating why the final results can only be achieved in the
medium term.
