Eligible organizations

• local municipality or municipalité régionale de comté (MRC - regional county municipality)
• public organization belonging to the health or education network, or a paramunicipal organization
• Conférence régionale des élus (CRE - regional council of elected representatives)
• Conseil local de développement (CLD - local development council).

This is an exhaustive list.

Eligible projects

Any project with a direct link to the program’s objectives is eligible. The following are excluded from eligible projects:

• support for an organization’s operations other than the costs directly related to the implemention of the project
• research activities
• capital expenditures
• activities that can be funded by another program of the MICC.

Mandatory condition

Projects must have specific objectives and seek realistic and measurable results.

Project evaluation criteria

Projects are evaluated according to the following principles:

• relevance of the project with respect to the objectives of the program component, the MICC’s orientations and local and regional issues
• potential of the community where the project is developed, in terms of attracting, receiving, integrating and retaining immigrants
• feasibility of the project
• expected project outcomes
• financial contribution of the proponent and project partners.
