On April 1, 2006, the provisional administration of unclaimed property was officially transferred from the Curateur public to the Minister of Revenue pursuant to the Act to abolish certain public bodies and transfer administrative responsibilities, which was passed on December 14, 2005. Such property includes unclaimed successions, unclaimed financial assets, abandoned dams, property of dissolved legal persons and abandoned vehicles.
