Is your couple recognized?
Although there is no universally accepted definition of a couple, the Régie des rentes du Québec recognizes married couples, civil union couples and de facto couples, regardless of whether they opposite-sex or same-sex couples.
The definition of couple that is used by the Régie may not be the same as the one used for other government programs.
