In most cases, a change of address is made in Revenu Québec's files immediately. If Revenu Québec cannot make the change immediately, the acknowledgment of receipt you receive at the end of the process will specify the processing time required to make the change.
Please take note of the confirmation number indicated in your acknowledgment of receipt in order to follow up on your request. To do so, you may use the service Viewing the status of your request or contact the Revenu Québec office nearest you.

Despite the fact that a number of municipalities were amalgamated on December 31, 2001, you must not change your mailing address until notified otherwise in writing by Canada Post. The premature use of a new town or city name could result in a delay in delivery because many different streets within the new municipalities have similar names.
If your address has changed subsequent to a municipal amalgamation and you have not moved, do not inform Revenu Québec of your new address. Your address will be updated automatically.
If you are subject to the registration requirement under the Act respecting the legal publicity of sole proprietorships, partnerships and legal persons, you must inform the Registraire des entreprises of your change of address.
Note |
Within the limits set by the Act respecting the Ministère du Revenu, Revenu Québec may communicate information about you to other government departments or agencies. |
