Registering for Clic Revenu – Businesses

Printing documents

Depending on how the registration is processed, you may be required to print out certain documents. Make sure you have access to a printer.

Revenu Québec offers a reprint service in case you did not print certain documents when you registered.

There are now three registration/activation options.

Online activation

Online activation is offered to businesses and individuals in business (self-employed persons), under certain conditions:

  • In the case of a corporation, the application must be made by an administrator of the business (president, vice-president, secretary or treasurer) who acts as the authorized representative. The applicant must provide the invitation number received by mail, together with the notice number on the corporation's most recent income tax notice of assessment.
  • In the case of an individual in business (self-employed person), the individual must act as the authorized representative and provide the notice number on the most recent personal income tax notice of assessment, together with his or her access code.

There are no documents to sign or return to Revenu Québec when a registration file is activated online.

Telephone activation

Telephone activation is offered to corporations, partnerships and individuals in business (self-employed persons), under certain conditions:

  • In all instances, the application must be made by an administrator of the business (president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, partner or individual in business) who acts as the authorized representative. 
  • The registration is activated after telephone confirmation by a Revenu Québec employee.

There are no documents to sign or return to Revenu Québec when a registration file is activated by telephone.

Mail-in of signed documents

This option is offered when a third party is registering or when the authorized representative's identity could not be validated by Revenu Québec.

Note
For all three registration/activation options, no confidential information will be requested in respect of the authorized representative or the person in charge of electronic services.
