Validation of a QST registration number

To use this service
Purpose of the service:	To confirm a QST registration number and obtain (on request) the holder's name
Users:	Individuals, individuals who carry on a business, corporations, partnerships and other legal persons
Conditions for use:	None

Businesses have no legal obligation to inform the MRQ of their corporate names. The MRQ does not, therefore, keep a record of all the corporate names used by a business. If no corporate name is on file, the MRQ will use the name of the business.

Validation process

The QST registration number to be confirmed has 16 characters: ten digits, followed by the letters "TQ" (representing the law concerned) and four more digits.

Example: 9999999999 TQ 0001

Quick and easy

1. Enter the number you wish to validate and indicate whether you wish to know the holder's name.
2. View the results: information regarding the number and (if applicable) the name of the holder.
