Student Exchanges

Student exchanges are possible :

  • Under agreements between postsecondary educational institutions in Québec and abroad
  • Under agreements between the Conférence des recteurs et des principaux des universités québécoises (CREPUQ) or CÉGEP International and certain institutions in foreign countries

Under these agreements, international students complete part of their academic requirements in a Québec educational institution (host establishment), while being registered in an educational institution in their own country (home establishment). They pay their tuition fees to the home establishment and do not have to pay the additional tuition fees normally charged to international students.

Exchanges last a maximum of one or two terms. The courses or internship undertaken by a student under the program must be recognized the student's home establishment.

For more information on exchanges at the university level, see the CREPUQ* Web site.

For information about college-level exchanges, see the Cégep International Web site.

The Agence universitaire de la Francophonie* offers a program aimed at encouraging student exchanges within universities in member states of La Francophonie.
