Gaspésie
A peninsula of majestic landscapes

Rocher Percé

Breathtaking panoramas, splendid views at every turn and tasty maritime cuisine—the Gaspésie offers you all this and more. Tour the entire peninsula, stroll along the foot of steep cliffs plunging into the blue waters, explore the land, climb the mountains and along the way meet a proud and hospitable people! Take advantage of the parks and historic sites for which this vacation destination par excellence is famous. Take time out to hunt agate stones on the beach, observe the whales, dolphins and porpoises, fish the waters of the sea or rivers or relax at a health spa—so many pleasures await you!

Ready to tour the Gaspésie region?

Parc national de MiguashaThis is where you'll find the famed Rocher Percé (Percé rock), a 470-m-long (1,540-ft.) rock whose fossils date back 400 million years, and observe the largest colony of Northern gannets in North America. The Gaspé Peninsula will charm you with its pebble beaches, its spectacular cliffs and its tranquil coves. At Forillon National Park of Canada, which stretches 244 km² (94 sq. mi.), you'll be staggered by the impressive scenery. Discover a veritable sea of mountains at the Réserve faunique des Chic-Chocs and the Parc national de la Gaspésie, two exceptional sites for observing moose and caribou (the latter can be seen at the summit of Mont Albert).

Where natural attractions abound

Réserve faunique de la Rvière-Saint-JeanThe Gaspésie region is overflowing with world-renowned jewels like the Parc national de Miguasha, a fossil-rich site that UNESCO has placed on its World Heritage List, and the Reford Gardens, a corner of horticultural paradise that was created between 1926 and 1959 and inspired by the English garden. If you enjoy hiking, don't miss the International Appalachian Trail (IAT), with its 644 km (400 mi.) of trails and numerous shelters and campsites! The many crystal rivers of the Gaspésie region are teeming with Atlantic salmon, making it a prized destination for local and visiting fishermen! And for sheer relaxation, visit the Chaleur Bay, which attracts vacationers every summer seeking its temperate waters and superb beaches, which are sheltered from the wind.

A long-standing favourite among tourists, the Gaspésie region will enchant you with its exceptional natural beauty!
