Toronto's Economic Development services support and assist existing businesses, potential investors and business associations.

Economic Development promotes Toronto’s business advantages and services. We keep Toronto "top of mind" for those making
    investment decisions. Economic Development publicizes business successes, events and issues. We publish statistics, information brochures and identify contacts to keep local businesses current.

Economic Development works to bring investors and new businesses to Toronto and also analyze and reformulate alliances with international sister cities. We tap into the investment potential of our sister city relationships by facilitating direct investment in Toronto and marketing local products abroad.

* * Toronto Business Improvement Areas (BIA)
A Business Improvement Area (BIA) is an association of local business people and property owners who work in partnership with the City to enhance their business area. Toronto's 54 BIAs, representing over 20,000 businesses, work in partnership with the City to create thriving, competitive, and safe business areas that attract shoppers, diners, tourists, and new businesses.

Get the latest information on a range of Provincial and Federal Export Programs and Research and Development Programs designed to support export growth and company research and development.
