Our role - Québec Government Office in London

The Education Unit of the Québec Government Office is responsible for the promotion and development of educational links between Québec and the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Nordic Countries.

We work towards the development of exchange programmes and cooperation ventures between experts and university departments on both sides of the ocean. In addition, we promote the development of common research projects, the organisation of international conferences and the production of joint publications.

Our aim is also to encourage the study of Québec society and culture by organising conference tours and academic platforms for visiting Québec experts and by providing resources and advice to academics interested in teaching or researching Québec issues.

The Education Unit also seeks to promote links and exchanges at the school level. In cooperation with the British Council Education and Training Group, we develop and administer teacher placement and student exchange programmes.
