RégieNet On-line services

Personal access code (PAC)

Personal access codes are issued by the Régie des rentes du Québec and give access only to the Régie's on-line services.

Important notice for PAC users

The Régie encourages the use of clicSÉQUR, which has been available since December 2005. It is a government authentication service that will, in the near future, become the only identification method.

If you have a personal access code (PAC) you can still use it for the time being. However, the Régie will no longer be issuing PACs.

Your PAC is confidential; you alone knows the code. It is sent to you by mail and is valid for 2 years following its effective date.

How to use the PAC that you received by mail

Each time you select a RégieNet on-line service that requires information contained in your file at the Régie, we will authenticate your identity. If you choose to use your PAC for identification purposes, we will ask you for:

  • the PAC that you received from the Régie by mail
  • certain personal information (your social insurance number, your date of birth, your mother's name at birth)
  • confidential information, known only to you and the Régie and related to your benefits or your income. To answer this question, you may need, as appropriate:

    • the account number for the direct deposit of your benefits, or
    • the amount of the last cheque that you received from the Régie, or
    • the amount of your employment income (the amount shown on line 101 of your Québec income tax return or the sum of the amounts shown in box A on your Relevé 1 slips), or
    • the amount of your contributions to the Québec Pension Plan, if you are a self-employed worker (the amount shown on line 445 of your Québec income tax return
