Applied Health Researcher Support Program
NLCAHR’s objectives include increasing the number of
professional researchers working on health issues in the
province’s academic institutions and health organizations, and
helping to attract increased levels of funding from inside and
outside the province for applied health researchers and research
teams.
To facilitate the meeting of these objectives, the centre offers a
semi-structured support program for new and junior applied health
researchers.
The Applied Health Researcher Support Program provides opportunities
for new applied health researchers to benefit from the expertise of
experienced and funded researchers. It helps researchers build
proposal-writing skills and can help improve the quality of new and
previously declined funding applications.
Eligible Participants
- New applied health researchers at Memorial University (less than 2 years)
- Applied Health Researchers who have submitted proposals for funding to national granting councils but who have not been successful
- Experienced researchers who are beginning to work in the field of applied health research
