When I use an on-line service, how is the information kept confidential?

For all our on-line services, the security of the information on-screen and that which is sent is kept confidential by a 128-bit secure socket layer (SSL) encryption. This encryption is a standard Internet procedure which allows for the exchange of confidential information. It transforms your information into a code that is impossible to read during transmission. For example, it is used for financial transactions, on-line purchases and applications made to government agencies.

What is the user code (ID) for?

Some of our services require information contained in your file at the Régie. The user code allows us to verify your identity so that you are the only person who has access to your file. This procedure ensures a personalized service: questions adapted to your situation, answers on-line, saving your information, etc.
