Verifying your identity
Why do you verify my identity when I use one of your personalized services?

Some of our services require information contained in your file at the Régie. The user code allows us to verify your identity so that you are the only person who has access to your file. This procedure ensures a personalized service: questions adapted to your situation, answers on-line, saving your information, etc.

How do I get a user code (ID) on-line?

From now on, only the clicSÉQUR method will allow you to obtain a new user ID. Each time you select one of the Régie's personalized services, you will be asked to specify the method you prefer to use to authenticate your identity. Select clicSÉQUR, then follow the instructions. You will receive your clicSÉQUR ID user code on-line.

If you already have a Clic Revenu ID or a personal access code (PAC), you can still use them for the time being.

What information do I need to give to sign up for clicSÉQUR?

Why do I have to provide personal information that Revenu Québec already has in its files in order to sign up for clicSÉQUR?
Revenu Québec verifies your identity because it has a lot of information that allows the Régie to apply the laws that cover the Québec Pension Plan and the refundable tax credit for child assistance.

Why can't I identify myself with my clicSÉQUR code?
If the personal information that we have in your file is different from the information at Revenu Québec, it is possible that you will not be able to use our on-line services. Contact us.

What should I do if the personal information sent by Revenu Québec is different from the information that the Régie has on file?
Contact us so that we can review your file. Don't forget to write down the personal information sent by Revenu Québec.

What should I do if I am informed that my personal access code (PAC) from the Régie has expired?

The Régie is not issuing any new PACs. From now on, only the clicSÉQUR method will allow you to obtain a new user ID. When you select one of the on-line personalized services, we will ask you what method you would like to use to authenticate your identity. Choose clicSÉQUR, then follow the instructions that will be given to you. You will get your clicSÉQUR ID on-line.

Why has my personal access code (PAC) from the Régie been deactivated?
After several unsuccessful attempts, it is possible that your PAC has been deactivated to avoid the possibility that someone else may be trying to access your file.

Contact us. You can also use clicSÉQUR in order to use the personalized services that require your identity to be authenticated.
