The objective of this site is to introduce the ministère des Transports, describe its many services, activities and programs, and mention the other players in the field. The department is only one of the main players responsible for transportation-related activities in Québec; the others include:

• Transport Canada (see the page Sharing of jurisdiction over transportation);
• the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec and the Commission des transports du Québec (see the page Trucking in Québec);
• the municipalities.

It is a major challenge to build a site with this number and variety of subjects that is pleasant to navigate and, above all, in which information is easily accessible. You can judge the result yourself and tell us whether we have succeeded.
