Pursuant to Order in Council 742-2005, dated 17 August 2005, the minister responsible for the Régie's administration of the refundable tax credit for child assistance is now the Minister of Families, Seniors and the Status of Women. Consequently, the references to the Minister of Employment, Social Solidarity and the Family in sections 1029.8.61.50, 1029.8.61.58 and 1029.8.61.59 of the Taxation Act are amended accordingly.

The family benefits program has been replaced by the refundable tax credit for child assistance. It has been possible to receive a child assistance payment since 1 January 2005.

The Act respecting family benefits (R.S.Q., c. P-19.1) continues to apply with respect to payments made under that Act.
