General information

In carrying out its role, Revenu Québec must recover the fiscal debts owed to it and refund amounts overpaid.

After the expiration of the time limits prescribed by law, Revenu Québec:

• charges interest on the debts owed by taxpayers and agents
• pays interest on its refunds to taxpayers and agents

  In certain cases, penalties may also be imposed.
