Fines

Fines ranging from $200 for minor offences to between $10,000 and $100,000 for more serious offences may be imposed on persons who do not comply with the provisions of the Fuel Tax Act. In certain cases, a fine for a serious offence may be accompanied by a prison term of up to two years.
