Child assistance payment
The
child assistance payment
end on the first day of the three-month (quarterly) period that follows a child's death, that is, on the first of January, April, July or October. If you receive your payments on a monthly basis, they will continue until the end of that three-month (quarterly) period.
You must inform the Régie des rentes du Québec and the Canada Revenue Agency of your child's death.
