Supplement for handicapped children
If your child dies, you must contact us as soon as possible.
The Régie will stop the supplement for handicapped children payment as of the first day of the next quarter. The quarterly payments are made in January, April, July and October. If you are receiving monthly payments, they will continue until the end of the quarter.
You must also notify the Canada Revenue Agency so that the necessary adjustments can be made to your child assistance file. Payments will stop in the month after the death.

If the child dies in the month of his or her birth
The Régie does not make child assistance payments for a child who dies in the month of his or her birth.
