IT Infrastructure Procurement

IT Infrastructure Procurement Branch provides specialized purchasing and contracting services related to data processing and telecommunications. All members of the Branch have an IT and/or telecommunications background with at least fifteen years of experience, as well some staff have professional qualifications in various aspects of IT.

Branch staff also has some 20 years of IT purchasing and contracting experience and training. This expertise has been used to create a library of purchasing instruments and contract terms that result in:

  • clear and complete statements of key technical requirements;
  • focus on the critical knowledge, experience and training factors required to perform IT services;
  • less staff time developing solicitations and contracts; and,
  • contracts with well-defined deliverables, enforceable service levels and management flexibility.

ITP services cover all phases of IT procurement projects, which include:

  • needs analysis;
  • selection of appropriate solicitation method;
  • project management for the procurement process, and,
  • contract negotiations.
