British Columbia’s seniors are living longer than ever before – which is why it’s more important than ever to maintain optimum health by keeping active, choosing healthy, nutritious foods every day, and quitting or cutting back on tobacco use.

Healthy eating for seniors
As we get older, we tend to eat less. And that can be a problem. Because, even though we don’t need as many calories, we need more of certain nutrients than young people.

Physical activity and seniors
The older we get, the more concerned we tend to be about our health. Ironically, as we age, many of us also find it harder to move around and get the physical activity we need to enjoy the best possible quality of life.
