December 13, 2006 – Minister responsible for film Stan Hagen visits the set of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, shot in downtown Vancouver. Earlier in December, Minister Hagen and representatives from the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of British Columbia (MPPIA) and the BC Film Commission met with Los Angeles film industry leaders to promote British Columbia as a film production location.
