B.C. CELEBRATES THREE NEW TRADES TRAINING INITIATIVES |
VANCOUVER - Industry leadership of British Columbia's skills training system continues to expand with the approval by the Industry Training Authority of three new industry training organizations in vital economic sectors: tourism, industrial/commercial/institutional construction, and resource industries, announced Economic Development Minister Colin Hansen.
At the event were Brian Clewes, CEO of the Industry Training Authority; Tom Kirk, representing Resource ITO; Dino Renaerts, president of British Columbia Chefs' Association; Marcus A. VonAlbrecht, corporate chef of Binner Marketing & Sales Inc.; Mark Doucette, director of facilities for Vancouver Coastal Health Authority; Lynn Henshaw and John Leschyson of Tourism ITO; Bernardus Speckling, industrial instrument mechanic apprentice; and John Leschyson representing Tourism ITO. |
