A copy of the microfilm collection of birth registrations 1872-1884 (120 years old), marriage registrations 1872-1929 (75 years old) and death registrations 1872-1984 (20 years old) is held by each of the following organizations. As additional organizations add the microfilm collection to their holdings, their names and relevant information will be added to this page.

Each year the microfilm is updated. Please contact the appropriate organization to verify if their collection is current.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds a copy of the microfilm collection in its archives in Salt Lake City, Utah. Individuals may borrow rolls of the microfilm collection through any of the Church's Family History Centers. The Nelson Municipal Library holds one copy of the index and microfilm collection, which may be viewed free of charge. There is a printing fee of $0.35 per * 1/2 x 11 page and $.50 per 11 x 17 page.

One copy of the microfilm collection is jointly held by the Victoria Genealogical Society (VGS) and the West Coast Family History Society.
