Holding the Microfilm Collection
A copy of the microfilm collection of birth registrations 1872-1884 (120 years old), marriage registrations 1872-1929 (75 years old) and death registrations 1872-1984 (20 years old) is held by each of the following organizations. As additional organizations add the microfilm collection to their holdings, their names and relevant information will be added to this page. Each year the microfilm is updated. Please contact the appropriate organization to verify if their collection is current.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds a copy of the microfilm collection in its archives in Salt Lake City, Utah. Individuals may borrow rolls of the microfilm collection through any of the Church's Family History Centers. Simon Fraser University Library (SFU) Simon Fraser University holds one copy of the microfilm collection which may be viewed free of charge. Please note that the SFU microfilm holdings are incomplete and there are currently no plans to update the collection. For hours and other information contact:
Surrey Public Library (Cloverdale) The Surrey Public Library (Cloverdale) holds one copy of the microfilm collection. Microfilm usage fees at this location are: $2 per hour to use microfilm readers and $0.50 per page for copies. For hours and other information contact:
Victoria Genealogical Society and West Coast Family History Society One copy of the microfilm collection is jointly held by the Victoria Genealogical Society (VGS) and the West Coast Family History Society. The film is held at the VGS Library located at 947 Alston Street in Victoria, BC, contact by phone at 250 360-2808. Non-members may request a search of the film for a small fee.
