The Fair PharmaCare plan helps B.C. residents with the cost of eligible prescription drugs and designated medical supplies. The plan provides financial assistance for individuals and families who need it most, based on their income.
The Fair PharmaCare plan is administered by Health
Insurance BC on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
If you have not registered, you should
register now to receive your maximum financial assistance under the
Fair PharmaCare plan.
If you have already registered for Fair
PharmaCare, you do not need to register again for future years.
The Universal
Child Care Benefit (UCCB) was introduced by the Government of Canada
in July 2006. Families receiving UCCB can now deduct their annual UCCB
amount from their net income when registering for Fair PharmaCare.
Families registering for Fair PharmaCare in 2008 can deduct up to 6 months of UCCB benefits for the 2006 tax year.
This is a secure website. To protect your
privacy, all information transmitted between your PC and PharmaCare's
computing systems is encrypted. However, during any Internet session,
web pages that you visit are stored on your hard drive as cached
files. If you are using a shared computer, you may choose to delete these
files from your hard drive after completing your registration.
Personal information entered by you on this website is collected under the authority of the British Columbia Continuing
Care Act. The information will be used to determine eligibility
for PharmaCare financial assistance. If you have any questions about
the collection of this information, contact a customer service representative at the telephone numbers provided. Personal information is collected, used, disclosed
and provided security in accordance with the British Columbia Freedom
of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
