Legal Decisions

The following are judicial and statutory decisions and intra/inter governmental agreements pertaining to the Contaminated Sites Regulation.

  • Environmental Appeal Board
    Decisions of the Environmental Appeal Board pertaining to decisions of the director on contaminated sites issues.
  • Orphan Site Declarations
    An orphan site is a contaminated site for which a responsible person cannot be found or is not willing or financially able to carry out remediation in a time frame specified by a director. An orphan site declaration is a declaration by the Minister that the government will undertake remediation at a high risk orphan site or other contaminated site which is not being adequately remediated.
