Subdivision Fees


The Ministry of Transportation charges an application fee and a final plan examination fee. You can find details about these on the Fee Schedule page. Local governments and referral agencies may also charge a fee for examining or processing a development proposal; these include the regional district, the regional Health Authority, and the Agricultural Land Commission, if applicable. As well, you can expect to pay :

  • current taxes and professional fees
  • fee for a review of a contaminated site profile
  • fee for registration at the Land Title and Survey Authority
  • Agricultural Land Reserve fee, if applicable

You will be responsible for retaining any professional expertise if required:

  • servicing costs
  • development
  • costs of engineering reports
  • costs of public consultation
  • costs of site inspection, if exceptional
