2006 Bertha Armyworm and Diamondback Moth Forecast Maps

The goal of the Prairie Pest Monitoring Network is to develop an early warning system for field crop pests that is timely and user friendly.

Maps showing current (updated daily) moth activity are available for Bertha Armyworm and Diamondback Moth for the Prairie provinces and the BC Peace region.  Follow the link below to access more information and the maps.  Note, the maps for the BC Peace are shown with the Alberta maps. 

  • 2006 Bertha Armyworm Forecast Maps - Alberta Agriculture, Food & Rural Development
  • Note:  Diamondback moth counts are not being mapped for 2006. Trap counts throughout the Peace region to the end of July have been insignificant. Diamondback moths above the control threshold (see fact sheet) are not expected for this growing season.
