Who We Are

The Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC (IAF) is an industry led, not for profit society that creates funding opportunities to support a thriving BC agriculture and agri-food sector through the effective delivery of programs.

With 25+ years of experience, we are recognized as the leading provider of high-quality and cost-effective program delivery services for the agriculture and agri-food sector in British Columbia. We have delivered almost $250 million to industry on behalf of the federal and provincial governments.

Programs We Deliver

ENVIRONMENTAL FARM PLAN

The Environmental Farm Plan and Best Management Practices Programs enhance the capacity of producers to maintain competitiveness by adapting and responding to ever-changing environmental conditions.

FARMLAND ADVANTAGE

Farmland Advantage is a research and development program that works with farmers to protect and conserve critical, natural lands, streams and habitats in British Columbia.

AGRITECH RAMP-UP

The Agritech Ramp-Up Program supports the growth of BC’s agritech sector through the provision of a cohort-based business support program.

BEE BC

This program supports small scale regional/community-based projects to research, explore, field-test and share information about best management practices associated with bee health in British Columbia.

CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION

The Climate Change Adaptation Program is led by industry with the goal of helping producers successfully adapt to the impacts of a changing climate.

LWTI

The Livestock Waste Tissue Initiative is available to help BC-based abattoirs and meat processors directly improve the accessibility and affordability of animal tissue waste disposal.

BUY BC

Buy BC Partnership Program provides cost-shared funding and a recognizable Buy BC logo to help BC’s agrifood and seafood sector market their products and increase sales within BC

INNOVATION

The Canada-BC Agri-Innovation Program assists BC agri-food producers, value-added food processors, academia, and others in the agri-food sector industry to accelerate the pace of innovation along the innovation continuum.

PROGRAM NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

MARKET DEVELOPMENT

The BC Agri-food and Seafood Market Development Program helps BC agri-food producers, agri-food and seafood processors, co-operatives and associations to identify, assess, target and develop market opportunities to increase their sales outside of BC.

PROGRAM NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

OTHER PROGRAMS

IAF delivers a variety of government programs to assist the agriculture and food processing industries in BC.

These include the Poultry Bio-Security Program, Bee BC Program and more.

In collaboration with our sector stakeholders, BC Agriculture Council and IAF are teaming up to develop a joint application for the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Agricultural Climate Solutions Program!
