Transitional Industry Support Program (TISP)

The July 31, 2004 application deadline for TISP has passed. Applications for both components will no longer be accepted.

The Transitional Industry Support Program consists of two components:

• payments to Canadian producers of cattle and other ruminants (total: $680 million);
  
  Please Note: Applications will be mailed to NISA participants who had sales of cattle and other eligible animals in 2002. The package will be sent the week of April 15, 2004.
  
  If you download the form from this Web site and send it in to the Administration, please ignore the direct mail package you will receive the week of April 15, 2004.
  
  Producers who were not NISA participants in 2002 will not receive a direct mail package and should request a package by calling 1-866-367-8506 or download from this Web site.

• general transition payments to Canadian producers to address income challenges as they make the move to the new CAIS program (total: $250 million).
